Just 90 minutes west of Sydney, the Blue Mountains is an area of stunning natural beauty, sweeping vistas & vast acres of pristine bushland.
We begin with a fabulous insight into Aboriginal culture at Muru Mittigar Cultural Centre. This is a superb chance to learn about the world's oldest surviving culture in a relaxed, friendly setting. Learn from indigenous Australians who share their culture & knowledge, introducing you to bushfoods & medicines. Handle tools and weapons and try your hand at boomerang throwing.
In the Mountains we see the area's most famous sights & views, but we keep away from the crowds at secluded lookouts to experience the solitude and immensity. Lunch is enjoyed in the peaceful Megalong Valley, beneath towering escarpments. In the afternoon see native animals in the wild in the fertile grounds of an extinct volcano in Blue Mountains National Park.
Paint your own didgeridoo to take home, & enjoy a lunch of native bushfoods at Muru Mittigar. Great fun for families!
